Enel Green Power社というイタリアにある発電会社が、米国で建設中の風力発電建設資金として、$400M調達したとの事。Equity FinanceでVoting rightに制限のある株式を発行するとのこと。
$400Mが建設費すべてかどうかどこにも書いていない。
他の州での風力発電施設の建設はかなり落ち込んでいるが、テキサス州ではまだまだ盛ん。
テキサス州西部の風力発電好適地(CREZ:Competitive Renewable Energy Zones)から、東部の商工業地帯に電気を送る送電網もかなり工事は進んだ模様。
最終的には18.5GWまで送れる様になる。

- Enel Green Power SpA (EGPW), Italy’s biggest clean-energy company, signed an agreement to receive about $400 million in funding for two U.S. wind farms.
- A group led by JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to fund the 150-megawatt Origin project in Oklahoma and the 200-megawatt Goodwell project, which spans both Oklahoma and Texas, according to a statement on Rome-based Enel’s website.
- The funders will receive an equity stake with limited voting rights, allowing it to share in the two projects’ “fiscal benefits,” Enel said.
- The funds will be awarded when the wind farms begin generating power. Origin is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter.
- Goodwell is estimated to come online in the fourth quarter of next year. Both projects have power-purchase agreements.
